Rossi and Lorenzo's relationship heats up when both are united for the first time in the 2008 season. Lorenzo, who was a newcomer status was already able to harass Rossi, who previously untouched in the team like Yamaha.
Tension broke out between the two of them. Garage Yamaha team split with Rossi and Lorenzo's team refused to give each individual motor data. Both of them also did not speak, until The Doctor finally crossed over to Ducati.
When Yamaha decided to 'save' Rossi to sign him back from Ducati, the Japanese manufacturer was admitted predict there will be more fierce competition between the two riders. But after a half-season passes, Rossi and Lorenzo looks even get along. Both are often seen talking seriously in the Yamaha garage.
"Maybe it was a little surprising," said Yamaha MotoGP boss Lin Jarvis.
"That's been our biggest concern when deciding to unite again before the two of them. We do not want any trouble related to the balance of the team. Since the first day we did not have problems and they work well together," said Jarvis in MCN.
Tough competition with Honda is believed to be one of the factors that make Rossi and Lorenzo quite get along this season.
"They were not going to be friends because they are different groups and cultures, but in professional terms keduanua very focused and dedicated to the job and both realized that they can benefit from her," he explained again.
